Below are the details for our upcoming reunion scheduled for Friday July 31 - Saturday, August 1, 2026

There are two sections in the website with updates since the last release on May 14. If this is your first time here, please check each section for the event details.

Change 1: If you are a golfer, check the Golf Outing section to make sure you are registered for Friday morning's event. If you wish to register, see the instructions to do so.

Change 2: A new section has been added to the Quick Navigator. See the item named, "Check Name Spelling for Event Badge" to make sure your event badge will have the correct name and spelling.

Golf Outing - Friday Morning

Below is the list of golfers who have signed up for the golf outing Friday morning, July 31.

If you have expressed an interest in golfing, and you do not see your name listed, be sure to follow up with Nick Anderson to let him know. See his email address below.

If you wish to participate in the golf outing and have not signed up yet, please send a note to Nick at this address nicholas8677@gmail.com. Keep in mind, there are 36 slots reserved and June 1 is the RSVP date.

Coordinator: Nick Anderson is coordinating the golf outing.

Location: Mentel Memorial Golf Course - formerly known as Bolton Golf Course. The southwest corner of Norton Rd. and Alkire Rd. The clubhouse is located along Alkire, which is a short distance west of Norton.

Date and Time: Meet on Friday, July 31, at 11:00 AM

Golfers: 9 groups are reserved with 4 players per group for a total of 36.

Price: Nadda, $0.00! A generous classmate who loves golf has volunteered to pay all the fees, and a $10.00 voucher will be provided so you can grab a bite and a drink. Golf carts are included!

Golf outing list as of May 20, 2026

York Steakhouse Dinner - Friday Evening

We will meet for dinner at York Steakhouse on Friday evening at 5:30. We will have the back room reserved. This is an enjoyable time to meet the night before the main event, and it is especially good for those from out of town to have a place to congregate. 5:30 is a good time to allow the golfers to finish up their activity and get their stories straight about who had the best round. The address is 4220 West Broad St. It is located just east of I-270 and West Broad and across the street from where Westland Mall used to be.  

Saturday Evening - The

Date and Time: The doors will open on Saturday, August 1, at 5:00 PM.

Location: We will meet at The Barn at the Lucky Farm, which is located outside Orient, Ohio. Their website is https://www.barnattheluckyfarm.com.

Directions: The 13-minute drive from Stringtown Rd is simple. Take I-71 south to St. Route 665 (also known as London-Groveport Rd.) east to Borror Rd. and then south to the address 9368 Borror Rd. Orient, Ohio.

Meet and Greet: Open bar and appetizers starting at 5:00.

Group Photo: Round up for the group photo at 5:45. Please be prompt, so we can finish quickly.

Dinner: Starts at 6:30 PM - See the Dinner Menu below.

Venue Review: Several committee members visited the site and reported their findings. The venue has a nice indoor facility that accommodates 130 people, with modern, clean restrooms; a covered, concrete outdoor area for band setup and sound system; parking; and a designated smoking area.

Music Entertainment: Starts at 7:00. We are very happy to once again have as our musical guests, Avec Amour. They joined us 5 years ago and were outstanding. See more details about their band at About Avec Amour.

Dinner Menu

The dinner will be catered by Metro Cuisine. Their website is https://www.metrocuisine.com/menus. You can browse their menu section and get a visual idea of what to expect.

Gluten-Free: Options will be available and labeled as such.

Appetizer Buffet: Two Charcutier Boards: Cured and dried meats, olives, cheese, tapenade, imported mustards, and toasted crostini & crackers. The vocabulary test is optional!

Salad: Metro House Salad with Heirloom Tomatoes & Champagne Vinaigrette. Served with gourmet dinner rolls & breads with butter.

Entree: Sauteed Chicken with Mushrooms & Marsala.

Entree: Korean-style boneless beef short ribs.

Side: Buttermilk Mashed Potatoes.

Side: Grilled & Roasted Vegetables with Olive Oil and Herbs.

Drinks: Full bar set-up with mixers - Tonic, Club Soda, Sour Mix, Soft Drinks (Coke products), Orange, Cranberry, Pineapple and Grapefruit Juices, Limes, Lemons, and Oranges, Maraschino Cherries, Bitters, Simple Syrup, Grenadine, and Rose's Lime Juice.

Dessert: Cupcakes and Theresa (Turner) Coe says, "They were the best cupcakes I have ever had!!!" Note: The cupcakes are not part of the dinner provided by Metro Cuisine. They will be provided by a friend."

Payment will be accepted through Venmo and personal checks.

We will have the per person cost determined soon. At that time, we will post the details along with Venmo account information and the mailing address for personal checks.

Some names may have changed due to a marriage or other reason. If you would like to have your name updated, please send email with the details to BLSkaggs@Outlook.com.

Scroll through the table below to find your name. Note: with a longer list, the sorting takes a few seconds. Be paitent. The list is initially sorted by column, "Original Last Name" then "First Name" but you can sort up or down by either column. If column "Married Name" is blank, the name on your badge will be spelled "<First Name> <Original Last Name>." If the column "Married Name" is specified, the name on your badge will be spelled as "<First Name> (<Original Last Name>) <Married Name>."

Example 1: No married name specified. Displayed name sample: Jane Doe.

Example 2: Jane gets Married with a new last name of "Ray". The displayed name sample: Jane (Doe) Ray.

If you wish a different format, that can also be made for you!

Alternate Accommodations

Below is an agreement from Marriott's location at Stringtown Rd. and I-270. If you wish to book a room with a different hotel, the closest location is I-270 and Stringtown Rd. in Grove City. This is just a few miles from the event's venue. You can use Google to search for "Hotels in Grove City, Ohio" and find more than a dozen places to choose from.

The following comments were provided by Dave Stanton. The contract is for a total of 20 rooms. The first block is for 10 rooms (5 Kings and 5 Queens) @ $ 145.00 each for either King or Queen rooms for the nights of Friday, July 31st and Saturday, August 1st. This is a good rate for these dates. The rack rate for these dates is $ 223.00 to $ 227.00. They will also allow this rate for additional days (3 days pre- & post-event dates) at the $ 145.00 rate. If anyone needs a room before Friday, July 31st, and needs to extend. They can call the Courtyard to get the room block rate. Grove City Marriott phone number is (614) 782-8292.

Room Allotment

Number of rooms: Marriott has currently set aside 10 rooms. Another 10 rooms will be made available to our group if needed for a total of 20.

Cost: The price is $145.00 per night for both King beds and Queen. Hotel room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes (currently 18.00%) in effect at the time of check in.

Check in is 3:00PM, Check out is 12:00PM

All guests arriving before 3:00PM will be accommodated as rooms become available. Our front desk staff can arrange to check baggage when open rooms are available for guests arriving early, or when they are attending early, or when they are attending afternoon functions on departure day.

The Hotel will offer the above rates three (3) days pre- & post-Event dates, pending room and rate availability. Occupied rooms will be applied towards the total room pick-up for room attrition, commission, and complimentary purposes.

TAXES: Rates are subject to applicable city and hotel taxes per night. These taxes can change without notice. With a tax at 1.18%

CUTOFF DATE/RELEASE DATE: *After the cutoff date 07/31/2026 all rooms are released back into general inventory and are no longer the responsibility of Westland High School Reunion . It is at the Hotel's discretion whether to accept additional reservations, which will be subject to prevailing rates and availability.

RATES: To receive a group discount, please book your rooms by the cutoff date provided.
AVAILABILITY: Terms and conditions of the contracts are based on current demand and occupancy. If demand and occupancy changes within the time this contract is sent and received, conditions and terms, including rates quoted and inventory offered are subject to change at the hotel's discretion.

Individual Call-in Terms
RESERVATIONS: By calling the Courtyard Marriott directly, individuals can make their own reservations. For individuals to receive the established Group rate, they must identify themselves as guests of your Westland Class of 1976 Reunion initially when making the reservation. All reservations must be received by the group's cut-off date. Reservations made after the cut-off date will be subject to availability and the best available rate. You can include your Bonvoy Marriott number to get credit for the nights spent at the hotel.
BOOKING LINK: The online reservation link (specific to the Westland Class of 1976 Reunion) is subject to the same cut-off date requirements and is not valid after the cut-off date.
PAYMENT: All individuals making their reservation must provide a credit card at the time of booking.

METHOD OF PAYMENT: Credit Card

Cancellation Policy
Individual room cancellations will adhere to the hotel's standard 48-hour cancellation policy, which will be one night's room and tax.
